Part 2

Hello loyal followers (as of today that consists of 2 of you). Last week was a crazy one in the world. Brian and I went to Ohio, the Phillies and the Dodgers began a playoff series, and a boy was in a box in an attic.

Brian and I went to Ohio to perform for a Salvation Army Pastor's retreat, which was held at a nice resort in Northern OH. The age range of the crowd ranged from late 20's to 70's, but the majority was probably 50's. We let them know that we were a little nervous because we are used to performing for much older crowds.

On the way home we got delayed at the Columbus Airport. We ran into fellow comedian Jeff Allen (www.JeffAllenComedy.com). He recognized us but I'm pretty sure he didn't know our names. He recommended that we go try and get a refund because our flight was delayed, and then ran away giggling.

We also gathered around a television with all of the other stranded Columbus passengers, watching what appeared to be a flying microwavable popcorn bag. Apparently the thought was that a young boy named Falcon was inside. I had just seen an episode of "Curious George," where George was in a runaway hot air balloon, so I knew this was a problem. After watching endless footage of this balloon fly and hearing people call into Headline News from states no where near the event, I was glad to know that there wasn't anything else in the world we would be worried about like war, the economy, or how scary "Where the Wild Things Are" is.

Whilst in Ohio we stumbled upon a Chinese Buffet that literally called one of us by name.

Brian Buffet
101 Plank Rd.
Norwalk, OH 44857

Brian Buffet was a pleasant little surprise contained in the walls of a strip mall near the Norwalk Walmart. The service was acceptable, meaning we received refill on our drinks without having to ask and the plates didn't pile up. The bathroom was probably the cleanest public restroom we have ever been in. I'm not saying I would choose to eat off of the urinal, but if forced to I wouldn't be overly concerned.

There was a fantastic selection of food. The Seafood Delight and the General Tso's was exceptional. The Chinese Mac N Cheese was typical buffet faire and the Lo Mein left a lot to be desired. For dessert though, the bananas in an enigmatic red sauce and chocolate pudding were exquisite.

  1. On your quest for good chinese restaurants, I recommend you come to the Savannah area and do a show - then I can take you to a nice little place we just came across. Oh wait, I will be in NY for about a year, so make it sometime next winter. Love, Aunt Dawn
